About this deal

Soft ear pads and adjustable, sliding earpieces together with a very flexible coiled cable ensure listening comfort during extended periods of use. Compared to the other headphones that I own I would say that the 990s are nearest in sound to the 880s. I wear glasses and my deal breaker is that the headphones do not press my ears too hard against the frame of the glasses. With the DT 900 PRO X, you get a mini-XLR input and an easy-to-repair design—which solves some of the biggest issues of the cheaper DT 990 PRO. If you serious on music production for many hours then the DT990 250ohms are good contenders for this purpose with the open back design let’s your ears breath well because they are open back and the sound is very fit for purpose, they quite big so should cover most ears “maybe Prince Charles may have trouble” but for most of us they are big enough, Remember learn the headphones they are trying to speak to you so don’t just use them a few times and judge, train your self and you be on the money in no time I’m sure, I have a few from this brand and this is a great all rounder, but remember they are open backed so they do leak sound so if you want closed back headphones maybe look for either DT250 or the 770 I have them also for various situations but I’m over kill then most users I’m sure, remember in the studio 250ohms are your friend in most situations, I as said before I actually like this brand and have a pair a headphones away from music production and I like them a lot, hope this helps out others perhaps, the only thing which I do miss slightly on my DT250 for example you can replace the lead very easy if you need to replace the lead at some point?

My other impression was that I don't hear any more stereo space in these headphones than in DT770, which is ridiculous as 770 are closed and 990 are open.for decades Now, professional users all around the world have placed their trust in our classic range: DT 770/880/990 Pro. Closed ear design, incorporating the Beyerdynamic bass reflex system, combines articulate low end response with a lightweight diaphragm. The DT 990 has a strong fit which may effect the feelings on your head depending the hours but with both i can sit comfortable for more then 6 hours without any pain. The impedance is comparatively high at 250 ohms, but nothing stands in the way of reasonable playback volume on mobile devices.

Sound leakage is similar in both, so neither are good for listening to next to your sleeping partner (who hates going off to music and especially hates jazz) in bed unless you want a poke in the ribs. Other cons are the fact that you can really hear if a song is mixed/mastered like shit, you can hear everything. However, because the DT 990 is open, it means that you can hear external noise very easily and they can hear you. These products are tested on site to manufacturer's specifications and are guaranteed to function perfectly. Unit 4 - Carberry Court 28 Queen Elizabeth Avenue, Hillington Park, Glasgow, United Kingdom, G52 4NQ.However, now that virtually all consumer devices are designed for much lower power outputs, high-impedance headphones aren’t a necessity for consumers. To summarize my impressions of Techno and Trance: the majority of tracks in these genres sound bad and unpleasant on DT990. extremely comfortable with velvety ear pads that completely surround the ear and do not touch the ear.
