About this deal

The seller was so lovely when I informed them that my item might have got lost in the post (as it was dispatched but never arrived) and immediately shipped another for me. Cheesecloth fabric is customisable and easily cut to create ghost costumes, spider webs, mummy costumes, wrap pumpkins. The cheesecloths are also used for lining cheese moulds prior to placing under the press and for wrapping certain cheese that require prolonged storage. Similar to the cheese-making process, tofu can be made using a cheesecloth strainer by separating the curdled mixture and whey over a bowl.

The packaging includes 2 pieces of multifunctional filtration fabric, perfect for home production of cheese, yoghurt, and butter. The more whey separated from the curdled mixture, the harder the cheese and vice versa for softer cheese. The lightweight material allows for air and liquids to flow through the weave while its durable surface keeps food secure.

This cloth or muslin is made of 100% organic cotton, a compostable material that does not add flavor to food, is safe and toxic-free. We’ve tested hundreds, if not thousands, of kitchen tools, and that’s made us hyper-attuned to details. Coffee lovers short of filters can also utilize organic cheesecloth for making a hot cup of joe in the morning. It’s those details we consider in our own range of products, be it British-made wooden carving boards or high-absorbency tea towels. These cheese cloths are 75cm square and are manufactured in the UK from high quality, unbleached, fine-weave 'Blueloom' muslin.

The fabric is also slightly crinkled, giving it a charming texture and making it a perfect match for the summer season. They are crafted for cheese making and are oversewn with overlock stitching using high-strength cotton to ensure that they do not fray in use and therefore have an exceptionally long working life.Unbleached Cotton - Colperun cheesecloth is made from 100% natural food-grade cotton, not dyed or bleached. It's ideal for straining a variety of foods, cheese making, preserving, steaming fish or puddings and can even be used as a cleaning or polishing cloth. Some of the technologies we use are necessary for critical functions like security and site integrity, account authentication, security and privacy preferences, internal site usage and maintenance data, and to make the site work correctly for browsing and transactions. In addition, its network of fibers resistant to deformity and of high quality, allow it to be used as a strainer in the production of cheese or to line the cheese molds, favoring the draining of the rennet and obtaining a cheese with a harder consistency. Etsy’s 100% renewable electricity commitment includes the electricity used by the data centres that host Etsy.

Cheesecloth gained its stardom for its lightweight and breathable texture that allowed aging cheese to breathe while staying protected with curds held firmly together.

The best part is that I have already thrown one cloth in a load of laundry, and it came out nice and clean, and still in great condition. The gauzy material is wrapped around cheese wheels to help the aging process or used to hang cheese curds. Cheesecloth is a loosely-woven cotton cloth primarily used for making cheese, though many cooks boast its versatility and utilize the material when making almond milk, ketchup, fruit drinks, and an assortment of other homemade goodies. For traditionalists - this product is intended for people who prefer home food processing and traditional ways of preparing food.
