About this deal

The function that reveals number twelve is outstanding and I think the exterior looks marvellous, while the interior includes numerous details from the movies. It’s not really obvious at this point what the best grip for those actions is, but there’s a bit of cleverness coming later for that! It’s a relatively simple feature just very well designed in both concept and practice with that simplicity helping to ensure that it is also structurally sound – pull on the lampposts either side to pull out 12 Grimmauld Place, or push together the two outside terraces to push it back in, effortlessly and smoothly.

Altogether, delivering on play and display ensures that beyond what is a noteworthy play feature, 76408 12 Grimmauld Place is a set with the same longevity for both aspects as any other LEGO Harry Potter set. are not present anywhere, which feels like a missed opportunity because Harry learning that those initials refer to Regulus is important to the story. Both of these scenes take place in their own massive rooms in the basement level of the Ministry, and there's no room to put minifigures with them anyway, so they feel quite shoehorned in. All three have their torsos printed on the back too, though much less detailed than what we saw on the front. O VERAL L - Like 75980 Attack on the Burrow before it, 76408 12 Grimmauld Place captures a magical home with plenty of detail, fantastic and appropriate minifigures, and of course the core house-revealing function. The reverse sides of these sections don't look like much, but it's fun how the designer has used gems for the handles of play function actuators. From minifigures to full-on castle sets, the LEGO Harry Potter collection has something for every fan, young or old. The angled baseplates that are needed so as to fold away the interior when the house moves back inwards don’t detract too much, in fact arguably adding to the pokey, claustrophobic and shadowy feel that 12 Grimmauld Place evoked. It’s no secret that Harry Potter has captured the hearts of fans all over the world, and the LEGO Harry Potter sets based on the franchise are no exception. The top floor is a relatively empty hallway-type space; the set photos show Fred and George goofing off here or nearby.

I think casual collectors, or LEGO fans who aren’t Harry Potter fans, will probably want to let this one pass. The good news is though even the theme and sub-theme growth are estimated at 9% and 7% respectively, making it a very steadily increasing investment. On ground level we have one of the many magic fireplaces, and a decorative section with stacks of printed Undesirable No. We do feel it is important to show that not all LEGO Investments are a great addition to your portfolios and this article shows some of the weaker recently retired sets. Its four offices all share the same external structure, and while interior details set them apart, they are still a bit of a slog to get through. One of the most important aspects of 12 Grimmauld Place is the fact that, to the non-magical world, it simply does not exist. Its sliding ability is the most interesting single thing to build out of either set, and it is fun to see that fully come together over the course of building the set. This display case designed for the LEGO ® Harry Potter 12 Grimmauld Place set, will make a great addition to your collection. Being a Metamorphmagus, Tonks could change her appearance at will, and often changed her hair colour depending on her mood. The case will arrive flat-packed and comes with instructions to easily assemble the front and back acrylic panels with the sides, using the 8 screws provided. I’m happy to get another color of a cat figure, but the inclusion is odd in that it further emphasizes that Hermione herself is missing. Maybe that’s not an emotion that Fred and George know of, because their alternative faces show them laughing – just as you’d expect it from the twins.

It's impressive that the Ministry looks as sizable and impressive as it does while still managing to have side builds. Inside you’ll find 7 bags of parts and a pack containing the instruction booklet and one sticker sheet. This looks to be Kreacher’s living space judging by the packed area and the printed curtain lifting to uncover a certain portrait.

But this house is also under the protection of the Fidelius Charm, which means wizards can’t see it either!
